2/3B is taught by Mr. Berg who is a wonderful teacher and encourages participation. 2/3B is also the class that handles the milk program. The milk program is a program at Rousseau that delivers milk every day, for the entire school year, thus delivering calcium and nutrition to the Rousseau students! The options for milk flavours are: chocolate or white milk. The class of 2/3B is a welcoming for every child.
Let's go to an interview with Mr. Berg ...
Q. What is your favorite thing about teaching? The most challenging?
A. My favourite thing about teaching is seeing my students grow and learn from September to June. The most challenging thing is fitting the entire curriculum in 10 months.
Q. How long has the milk program been going on?
A. The milk program has been going on since 1989. I have been coordinating it since 2008 (my entire time at Rousseau). There is a plaque outside my room commemorating our 20th year in the milk program!
Q. What's the best part about Rousseau?
A. The best part about Rousseau is the small-community atmosphere. All families seem to know each other, no matter what the grade. I think I especially relate well to this since I went to a small, community school growing up.
Q. Have you taught at any other school?
A. Before Rousseau, I started out at Prince Of Wales, where I first taught Grade 6/7 and then two years of Grade 2. I then taught Grade 3 at Dr. J. Edgar Davey before starting at Rousseau.
